Wanda Gág was a writer, artist, and illustrator born in Minnesota to a family of Bohemian immigrants.
From an early age, she was educated in an environment that valued art and creativity. Despite financial difficulties after her father's death, she managed to attend the Minneapolis School of Art and the Art Students League of New York.
She gained great fame and recognition for her work as an illustrator and for the children's books she wrote, in which her love of art and her storytelling ability merged. Among her works, Millions of Cats, one of the first modern illustrated children's books, stands out.
In addition to being a key figure in the development of children's literature, Gág was also a passionate advocate for women's rights. Overall, she left a lasting legacy that continues to inspire new generations of artists and writers.
