My Religion, also known as What I Believe, is an essay written by Leo Tolstoy and published in 1889. In this book Tolstoy exposes his religious beliefs and he openly confessed his Christian beliefs.
Leo Tolstoy exposes the doctrine of non-violence based on the teachings and commandments of Christ in the Gospel and the Bible and how these teachings can give real meaning to life and happiness to people, and influence the world, not only in an abstractly imagined afterlife, but in this very world in which we live.
In this book we are going to discover a different side of Tolstoy. The author did extensive research on the Bible and the basic tenets of Christianity to write this thought-provoking book.
