The Little Nugget is a novel written by P. G. Wodehouse and first published in 1913.

The Little Nugget references a spoiled child of an American millionaire. His parents divorce and his father gets custody.

The father sends him to study in England, but nevertheless, his mother will try to do anything to prevent it and get her son back.

The mother, with the help of Mr. Peter Burns and Cynthia Drassilis, orchestrates a plan to kidnap him. Mr. Burns is a slacker who has never done any work and Cynthia is his fiancée.

The boy studies in the middle of the English countryside, in a remote region, which is why it is the ideal place for the kidnapping.

There Mr. Burns will begin to work as an apprentice master and there he will begin to carry out the plan...

"If the management of the Hotel Guelph, that London landmark, could have been present at three o'clock one afternoon in early January in the sitting-room of the suite which they had assigned to Mrs Elmer Ford, late of New York, they might well have felt a little aggrieved".
