Roy Chapman Andrews was an American explorer, naturalist, and paleontologist known for his expeditions to the Gobi Desert in Mongolia and his work at the American Museum of Natural History in New York.
He led expeditions between 1922 and 1930 that discovered important dinosaur fossils, including the first dinosaur nest with fossilized eggs.
He wrote several books about his discoveries and adventures, which inspired the character of Indiana Jones.
