Tao Te Ching is a Chinese philosophical text attributed to the sage Laozi and written around 400 BC. The title of the book can be translated as "The classic of the way and its power".
Through 81 sections, Laozi explores human existence itself and how people should live to achieve harmony with the Tao, that is, the underlying order of the universe. The Tao is the ultimate goal and the only thing worth truly pursuing in life.
It is a profound book, full of philosophical concepts that are sometimes complicated to understand and that deserves to be reread.
The book has been translated into a multitude of languages and is still very influential today, especially in Eastern philosophy, but also in Western thought.
This edition of the book Tao Te Ching is based on James Legge's translation.
"Ch. 1. 1. The Tao that can be trodden is not the enduring and unchanging Tao. The name that can be named is not the enduring and unchanging name.
2. (Conceived of as) having no name, it is the Originator of heaven and earth; (conceived of as) having a name, it is the Mother of all things".

Leadership and living, written like water: clear, patient, resistant to force. The “Tao Te Ching” counsels doing less, noticing more, and letting strength arrive without strain. Pocket-length wisdom that rewards a page a day.
Read it as calibration, not command. The text favors soft power, empty space, and timing—ideas useful to parents, managers, and makers. Try one verse, carry it for a week, and watch how choices shift. Multiple translations reveal different shades; brevity invites depth.
Yielding outlasts pushing; roots feed branches.
Subtraction clarifies aims and reduces waste.
Act when the river turns, not before.
