The Book of the Secrets of Enoch

The Book of the Secrets of Enoch, also known as 2 Enoch or the Slavonic Enoch, is an ancient Jewish apocalyptic text by an unknown author.

The work describes Enoch’s extraordinary journey through the different levels of heaven, where angels reveal celestial wonders, the organization of the universe, and the places prepared for the righteous and the wicked.

Enoch is brought before God and receives secret knowledge about creation, time, judgment, and humanity’s destiny. After returning to Earth, he shares these revelations with his children and encourages them to live with justice, generosity, and reverence for God.

Combining visionary narrative with religious instruction, the book explores divine order, moral responsibility, and life after death. This edition is based on the English version published by Rutherford H. Platt, Jr. in The Forgotten Books of Eden.
