The Forsyte Saga is a series of three novels and two interludes written between 1906 and 1921 by John Galsworthy and first published under that title in 1922.
They chronicle the vicissitudes of the leading members of a large commercial upper-middle-class English family, similar to Galsworthy's contemporary readers.

The series is now referred to as The Forsyte Chronicles or The Forsyte Saga to distinguish it from other works by Galsworthy, some of which were published under the same titles.
The Forsyte Saga was twice adapted for television, once in 1967 for the BBC and again in 2002 for ITV.
