Torrent of Spring

Torrent of Spring, also known as Spring Torrents, is a romantic novella written by Ivan Turgenev and first published in 1872.

While traveling in Germany, a young Russian gentleman meets the Italian daughter of a modest shopkeeper and falls in love. Their bond unfolds with impetuous first love and a dawning moral awakening, tested by pride, social convention, and even the shadow of a duel.
