A House of Pomegranates
A House of Pomegranates is a collection of stories written by Oscar Wilde and originally published in 1891.
It consists of four stories:
- The Young King: About a shepherd who discovers he is destined to be king.
- The Birthday of the Infanta: A dwarf falls in love with a princess in a story that contrasts innocence and cruelty.
- The Fisherman and His Soul: A tale of love and freedom.
- The Star-Child: The story of a child who falls from the sky and his search for identity.
Through these short stories, Wilde combines the beauty of his prose with a series of reflections on human values and society that not only entertain the reader, but also offer interesting morals and ideas.
