Jack and Jill is a children's book written by Louisa May Alcott and first published in 1880.
The plot takes place in a small New England town after the American Civil War.
Jack Minot and Janey Pecq are very good friends and always go everywhere together, which is why Janey is nicknamed Jill, to imitate her old rhyme. One cold winter day, the boys climb a hill and there they have a serious sledding accident.
The boys are injured in the accident and during their recovery, their mothers create various activities for them to distract them. During the long road to recovery, the boys will learn great life lessons along with many other friends. By the end of their recovery, they have managed to learn valuable lessons and become better kids.
