Louise de la Vallière is the third of four sections in this edition of Alexandre Dumas's final d'Artagnan romance, originally serialized between 1847 and 1850.
At the court of Louis XIV, the king's affection for Louise de la Vallière can no longer remain a harmless secret. Their relationship exposes Louise to jealousy and public judgment, while Raoul de Bragelonne—her promised husband and the son of Athos—remains dangerously unaware of what has changed.
