Love Among the Chickens is a comic novel written by P. G. Wodehouse and first published in 1906. It is P. G. Wodehouse's sixth novel and his first adult-oriented novel.
Jeremy Garnet is a crime writer working on his next novel. However, Garnet needs a change of scenery to find inspiration and overcome his writer's block. An old friend, named Stanley Ukridge, contacts him to propose a project.
The proposal is to start a chicken-breeding business. Garnet tries to run away from Ukridge, but Ukridge eventually finds him and is forced to accept the project. However, neither Ukridge nor Garnet have the slightest idea of how to raise chickens, which makes the plan as crazy as it is fun.
In addition, Garnet will meet the beautiful young Phyllis Derrick and fall in love with her at first sight. However, Garnet is not liked by her father, which will lead to another rather surreal situation on Garnet's part...
