The Adventures Of Pinocchio is a fantasy book written by Carlo Collodi in 1883.
Pinocchio is an animated wooden puppet carved by the old master carpenter Gepetto who does not want to be a puppet, but a real boy of flesh and blood. He has the ability to feel emotions and to speak.
However, Pinocchio only seems to be concerned with enjoying life, he often misbehaves and will get into numerous crazy adventures from which he will often come out badly. He is tempted by strangers with not entirely recommendable proposals to which Pinocchio accepts, more out of naivety than anything else. In the end, Pinocchio's weaknesses make him more real, more human.
Through Pinocchio's actions, the reader is offered a series of valuable lessons to educate children in values so that they obey and take care of their parents.
This edition of The Adventures Of Pinocchio is based on Walter Samuel Cramp's translation. This book is illustrated with original drawings realized by Charles Copeland.
"Once upon a time there was—
“A king?” my little readers will immediately say.
No, children, you are mistaken. Once upon a time there was a piece of wood. It was not fine wood, but a simple piece of wood from the wood yard,—the kind we put in the stoves and fireplaces so as to make a fire and heat the rooms".

A wooden boy discovers that freedom without truth bends quickly into trouble. Collodi’s episodic journey is mischievous, moral, and surprisingly moving.
In an era of fabricated personas, this classic argues for responsibility, gratitude, and the hard joy of becoming real through choices rather than wishes.
Doing right beats wishing right.
Love asks for effort.
Lies carry costs you cannot see.
