The Lesser Key of Solomon is an anonymously authored grimoire on sorcery. This edition is based on the 1904 translation by Samuel Mathers.
The book offers detailed descriptions of spirits, methods of invoking them and forcing them to fulfill the practitioner's commands. It also discusses preparations for summoning, necessary tools, and protective rituals to prevent the spirits from taking control of the conjurer.
It is divided into the following parts:
"Magic is the Highest, most Absolute, and most Divine Knowledge of Natural Philosophy, advanced in its works and wonderful operations by a right understanding of the inward and occult virtue of things; so that true Agents being applied to proper Patients, strange and admirable effects will thereby be produced. "
This edition of The Lesser Key of Solomon is based on Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers's translation.

A classic that still feels modern
A famous grimoire rather than a how-to, "The Lesser Key of Solomon" catalogs spirits, seals, and ritual language across centuries. Best read as a cultural artifact, it shows how authority is staged on the page—through diagrams, titles, and formulae. You learn how fear and desire get organized into manuals.
In an age of game lore and occult aesthetics, the text anchors references in primary material. Study it ethically: history, symbolism, reception. No operational guidance—just literacy about how ritual technologies worked on imagination and community. It’s a document of minds at work under mystery.
Sigils, orders, and hierarchies reveal a system of meaning. The graphics are arguments.
Set phrases perform authority. Reading them shows how speech marks space as sacred.
Anxieties and hopes become lists and seals. The manual organizes emotion into procedure.
