Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz is a fantasy novel written by L. Frank Baum and originally published in 1908. It is the fourth book in the Oz series and one of the most appreciated by fans of the saga.

For the third time, Dorothy is swept away to unknown lands due to a natural phenomenon. In this story, there is an earthquake in California. But luckily for Dorothy, this time she is not alone, but is accompanied by her cousin Zeb, a horse named Jim and the kitten Eurika.

The group falls after the earth cracks and end up trapped there. They are in the land of vegetables: glass buildings, vegetable people, the wooden garcolas.... As creative as it is fun. However, these vegetable beings are suspicious of them, especially the animals, as they have never seen beings like them before.

Lost in the subsoil and with the distrust of the locals... How will the group be able to return home?

"The train from 'Frisco was very late. It should have arrived at Hugson's Siding at midnight, but it was already five o'clock and the gray dawn was breaking in the east when the little train slowly rumbled up to the open shed that served for the station-house."
