The Mystery of the Yellow Room

The Mystery of the Yellow Room is a mystery novel written by Gaston Leroux and first published in 1907. It is a classic of the detective novels of the early twentieth century.

A murder has been committed in a very peculiar room: the room is locked and there is no trace or evidence of anyone having entered or of the murderer's escape. How then could the crime have occurred?

It is set in the estate of a famous scientist called Château du Glandier and the murder victim is the daughter of this professor, who is found in her own room called the Yellow Room.

The book introduces us to reporter Joseph Rouletabille, an amateur detective with a brilliant mind who will track down the mystery of the room and try to unmask the murderer of this seemingly perfect crime.
